Impulses are not always easy to understand. An impulse is a change in momentum that happens over some duration of time. So what does this mean for an object? Well, it can either increase or decrease the speed of the object depending on which direction it’s going and how powerful the impulse is. With these two variables in mind, imagine that you have a 2 kg object moving at 1 m/s when all of a sudden there is an impulse of 4 ns applied to it. The force from this would be enough to cause the mass to accelerate with an average acceleration rate of 981 m/s2! What Impact does an Impulse Have on the Object? A force, or impulse is a change in momentum that happens over some duration of time. So what does this mean for an object? Well, it can either increase or decrease the speed depending on which direction its going and how powerful the impulse is. With these two variables in mind, imagine a mass moving at one meter per second when all of sudden there’s an impulse with four nanoseconds applied to it.. The force from this would be enough to cause the mass accelerate with an average acceleration rate of nine hundred eighty-one meters per second squared! Number One: After I finish writing my blog post about impulsing and impulses..I’m sure you’ll have more
