[pii_email_3b6fad80a8eeb9bb45de] I can’t help it. It’s hard to look at my social media feed, and see my friends in the same room as me, but I’m not really in the same room with them.
That’s actually not true. Sure, you can look at people in your social media feed and see them in your social media feed, but your friends in your social media feed are not the same as your friends in your social media feed.
I’m not sure if this is a problem or not, but as we all know, social media feeds are sort of a “me”-centric thing. If you’re not in the same physical space with your social media friends, you can’t see them at all. It’s a little like when you’re in the same room with someone, but you’re in different rooms with people.
Well, I can totally understand this. Imagine for a moment you’re stuck in a room with five or six people and you can’t know them all. I mean you have a few friends who can know you, but you can’t know them all. That’s basically the same as the social media feed.
Its easy to assume that if I am in a room with six people who know me, that I cannot possibly know any of their friends. But that is not at all true. Its very possible to be in a room with one person who knows you and one person who knows one of your friends. You definitely can know the person youre in a room with, but you probably cant know the person youre in a room with.
This is why social media is so important. It allows us to connect with people we would not normally expect to see. For example, my cousin and I have quite a few friends who are in the same band. Not only that, but we talk to each other on the phone every day. It’s not enough for us to know each other; we also have to know each other’s friends.
It is true. But if you see somebody you know, and you think you know them, you probably dont know them yet. Or they might be just friends, but you also probably dont know them and that is a risk you take, and a mistake you can not correct. With social media you have the opportunity to connect with people you have never been in a room with, your friends. And you can learn more about the people you are in a room with, who werent even there.
So imagine if you had to post a picture of your new house to Facebook right after it was finished. It would be an embarrassing and embarrassing thing. But how would you know, if you didnt actually live in that house? And how would you know if it was an actual house with rooms and stuff and not just a virtual building, that you lived in? All of these things are factors that are often overlooked when it comes to social media.
You will need to do some research about the people you are in a room with before posting photos of your new house. This is because if the person you are in a room with has a Facebook account or Twitter account, that information can be used against you. To put it bluntly, this is a huge red flag.
