When it’s time to build a new home, you have to have a little self-care.

That one sentence is very true. The moment you walk into a new home you have to go into a period of self-care. You need to be mentally and physically prepared to do the big things. The minute you have your eyes set on a new project, you need to do something else.

You can’t build a new home without mentally and physically preparing for it. And you should. It’s an important part of getting it done. The next time you plan to start building your new home, you’ll need to have a plan in mind. For example, you may get a better idea of how you want your home to feel when you walk in the door. You may also need to think about what you want in your new home.

I tend to put my head down and get started on something and then just keep going, only to realize that I didn’t really make a plan. But this is the life of a builder. You have to constantly keep your mind and body in motion.
